Businessman Adel AL Safar was elected as the President of Amcham during the chamber's general assembly along with other Board members Gregory T. Brinkerhoff, Ahmed Mirza Al Jawahery, Hamid Al Zayani, Nasser M. J. Al-Arayedh, Mazin Khoury, Khalid Kanoo, Ayman Al Moayed, Abdul Wahed Kooheji, Badea Esbai, Mohammed Al Asfoor, Redha Fathalla and Mayank Malik.
President Adel Al Safar thanked the chamber for their trust indicating that the board of directors in its new session will activate many programs and activities which would in return serve the objectives of American Chamber of Commerce in Bahrain and enable trade, business and investment sectors to benefit from Bahrain-US Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
